Foam Testing
We have developed several test kits to allow site testing of fire fighting foam without the need for a Laboratory. The kits meet the recommended test protocol from NFPA11 Annexe D and can be used for testing foam from all foam generating systems including NFPA11, BS EN 13565 and IMO.

Freshwater/Seawater Produced Foam Test Kit SWT1
​This kit utilises a digital refractometer and is for testing the produced foam concentration (proportioner %) that has been made using either fresh water or seawater.

Freshwater Produced Foam Test Kit FWT1
​This kit utilises a digital electrical conductivity meter and is for testing produced foam concentration (proportioner %) that has been made using fresh water.

Please note this kit is only suitable for testing foam solution sampled before the foam generator, it cannot be used to test foam that has passed through a nozzle/monitor. Please select the Freshwater/Seawater Produced Foam Test Kit if testing finished foam. ​Click here for a product fact sheet.
Fluorine Free Test Kit FFT1
​​This kit utilises a digital refractometer and is for testing the produced foam concentration (proportioner %) that has been made using either fresh water or seawater. The refractometer has a finer measurement resolution than the Freshwater/Seawater Kit which, in our experience, is often required for Fluorine Free foams.

Foam Concentrates Test Kit FCT1
​This kit determines some key physical properties of Foam Concentrates that can be used as part of the system condition monitoring in order to identify problems early. The kit includes everything required to collect and test the foam samples, including a stand to support the Sample Pot in the foam stream being sampled. Properties tested are Expansion Ratio, Quarter Drainage Time, pH and Specific Gravity.

NFPA11 Sample Pot & Accessories
​​Our Foam Sample Pot has been designed to NFPA11 specifications to hold a volume of 1600ml for Expansion Ratio and Quarter Drainage Time Tests.
Made from chemical resistant PA12 Nylon, the pot is lightweight and the dimensions allow it it sit underneath an NFPA11 Collection Board. Optional accessories include a skirt to support the pot on a flat surface and a collar that allows the pot to be supported by a retort stand and clamp.
Foam Testing App​​
We have developed a "Produced Foam Testing" app which is intended to reduce the human error when creating foam calibration lines and reading off the produced foam concentration. The app generates a one page Produced Foam Test Report which can be submitted to Certifying Authorities as evidence of a successful test. It can be downloaded for free to try for 10 tests from the Apple Appstore or from Google Play with an in-app purchase to unlock all the features. More details about the app can be found here.
